In April 2017, I had the privilege to travel to Puerto Rico. It was one of those trips where we desired relaxation and tropical-like weather. When we got there, we felt like we were in another country. We just couldn’t believe that something like this was apart of the U.S. The people, our people, were so hospitable and welcoming to us despite the alienation they’ve been made to feel.
Fast forward to September 2017 and devastation has struck. I can’t help but to think about everyone who we connected with while we there. How are they doing? How are their families? In what conditions are they now living? Have they been able to evacuate?
I’ve donated money, but did my small contribution even help?
Restore Puerto Rico.
