Am I back to blogging?
I’ve had this platform for 7 years- according to a Facebook alert I got the other day. And, I can’t lie to y’all, following through with this blog has felt like a failure. The energy around a new year and the excitement that comes with it always gets me motivated to start it up again and so I do. But, then that motivation subsides and this space remains, yet again, dormant. I am learning from failure. So, I hope that I am back to blogging. No promises.
How was 2024?
2024 ended up being a “transition” year for me. There were several transitions in every aspect of my life and the desire to focus on my hobbies, my dreams, just wasn’t there. It was reminiscent of the time my best friend and I were on a speedboat in the middle of the ocean in Colombia–holding on as tight as we could for every wave we hit, releasing our grip of the seat handle, catching our breath when the tide was calm again, and then bracing ourselves [again] for the next bit of choppy waters. Is that a bit dramatic? Maybe. But, it’s what happened and 2024 was very familiar.
What do I hope for in 2025?
I’m ready to get back to doing things I enjoy. I’m ready to get back to pursuing my career goals. I’m ready to have the best of both worlds – personally and professionally. 2025 feels like a good year to fail forward – to try new things and plant the seeds that have been in my head for some time. It could all very well flop, but it could also flourish. That’s my why for coming back to this platform. I want to see my ideas come to life!
In my last post, albeit a year ago, I introduced Tortoise Conduct Health Coaching. This is a prime example of a seed planted, but hasn’t been watered or nurtured in the way I envisioned. Life happened and I got distracted. Now that the dust has settled a bit and I’m a bit more grounded, I’m in a headspace where I can return to past, incomplete endeavors.
If you made it this far in the post, I hope it resonated with you in a way that bodes well and is encouraging or thought-provoking. I have full intention on posting more consistently, truly.
